Scratch (intermediate) - Virtual Summer 5-Day Camp July 31, 2023

This virtual camp will be conducted via Zoom. Please follow the instructions below ahead of time prior to the start of the session.

Special instructions (one time only and adult help is required):

1. Create an account at Scratch website: https://scratch.mit.edu/join so your child can save his/her work
2. Install and test Zoom software. Link: https://zoom.us/test
• In the beginning of the camp during the session, please be present to help your child with the Zoom setting, e.g. allowing screen sharing, allowing remote control
3. Ensure the web camera and headset is working properly

Minimum laptop/PC requirements:

1. Windows or Mac operating system (high performance Chromebook may work but there could be limitations)
2. CPU speed: 3 GHz or more
3. Memory/RAM: 8 GB or more

To maximize the learning experience, a PC/laptop with good size monitor screen is highly recommended. For regular desktops, 24 inches monitor screen tends to be the most comfortable monitor size, whereas for laptops, 15.6 inches monitor size is common.

A headset is highly recommended. A webcam is also highly recommended but not required.
